About Them
As a mostly non-profit business, Gaia’s Bounty creates local community gardens that supply neighborhoods with healthy, seasonal produce all year long. Every product is packaged using fully compostable, plant-based materials that feed the soil rather than harm it—making each item a small step toward healing our environment and communities.

They create non-profit forest gardens for urban neighborhoods, offering free food and space for nature to thrive. They also offer seeds and starter kits to help people grow their own food, no matter their space or experience.
The Experience
Gaia’s bounty is a bright and joyful experience to simply savor, their goal is to make living and growing food an ethically peaceful experience. Their packaging is created to represent a slow and colorful experience made to both enjoy and savor.
The sustainability
The the seed pouches and starters are made of a special, naturally compostable, material entwined with nutrients that specifically help plants and soil. This material is called Composting Paper. For the ink we used water-based ink.
Now the biggest issue in at home compostable packaging is the limitation of just what can actually be composted, for example, while the Kraft and ink used are compostable naturally and then we coated it all for extra protection it would no longer be compostable or even recyclable!
This is why we went basic with only paper and water that are great for the customer’s gardens.
